Repower NT Assistant (volunteer role)

The Repower NT Assistant will assist the Repower NT Manager in organising Repower NT events and managing the champions program. This is a great position for someone who is passionate about the environment, climate change and/or politics, who is relatively tech-savvy, has good communication skills and is comfortable with calling up volunteers, and who would like to gain new skills in activism and community organising.  

Ideally the assistant will sometimes work from the ECNT office during business hours but applicants who can only contribute outside of business hours will also be considered. 

Time required: 

10-14 hours per week, including fortnightly Wednesday evenings and some evening or weekend work 

Location: 

Darwin-based 

Duties include assisting the Repower NT Manager with: 

• Running fortnightly Wednesday evenings inductions and champion meetings 
• Co-ordinating champions throughout the week, including using Nation Builder 
• Organising Repower NT events (COOLmob workshops, candidate forums & events, Repower NT presentations, film nights or fundraisers, election day prepoll & polling) 
• Social media 
• Other tasks that come up
