Represented by our Lawyers at EJA, we are taking the NT government to court for giving the green light to extensive land clearing and environmental destruction by the cotton industry. 

Growing cotton causes enormous damage to fragile ecosystems. We've seen land clearing skyrocket across the NT in the past few years, and the cotton industry has big plans to expand across the NT. 

This is a landmark challenge to a multinational corporation’s plans to bulldoze ecologically significant tropical savanna at Auvergne Station.  

If successful, this case will set an important precedent. This will mean big cotton’s plans to expand across the NT will be scrutinized for their environmental impact.
