Special Resolution Motion: That members approve amendments to the constitution of the Environment Centre (N.T.) Incorporated to change the position title “Convener” or “Convenor” to “Chair”.

Voting if you can not attend in person

We welcome proxies from member who can not attend in person to cast their vote.

For the Special General Meeting members can appoint a person to act as their proxy and can bind that person to vote in a particular way on the special resolution.  A proxy form for the Special General Meeting is available here.

For the Annual General Meeting members can appoint a person to attend and vote for them.  A proxy form for the Annual General Meeting is available here.

Proxies must be in writing and received by ECNT at least 48 hours before the meetings. Please check with the person to whom you are giving the authority for proxy voting, as a person attending the meeting must not be a proxy for more than two members. Opportunity to join our Board

Have you thought about joining our board? It's a unique experience allowing you to purposely invest in your local community on an issue you feel passionate about, the future of the NT environment.  The Board can best serve the interest of members and the NT environment if its composition reflects the diversity of the community and includes members with a broad range of skills.  Nominations from a diversity of backgrounds are welcome, including from First Nations peoples and from younger members. Members with a financial or legal background are also encouraged to nominate. 

Half of the Board positons (five) will be declared vacant at the Annual General Meeting and these positions are available for a two year appointment.  Following the election of Board members, office bearers will be appointed through to the next Annual General Meeting,

All nominations shall be received by the Convener 5 business days prior to the AGM (by COB Tuesday 2 November) - please email the signed nomination form to [email protected] Attn. Dave Liddle. Nominees are encouraged to include a brief bio-sketch with their forms which will be made available to members prior to the Annual General Meeting.  As part of the election process, nominees will be given the opportunity to deliver a short (1 minute) talk about why they want to be on the Board and/or what they offer to members by being on the Board.  

Note: As per our constitution, if insufficient nominations are received to fill all the vacancies on the Board, no further nominations will be received at the Annual General Meeting.
