Landcare NT and Environment Centre NT are thrilled to join John Seed in hosting a workshop about 'Deep Ecology and Sustainable Consciousness'

John has dedicated his life to the protection of rainforests and their biodiversity since 1979 and in 1995 was awarded the Order of Australia Medal (OAM) by the Australian Government for services to conservation and the environment.

This workshop will elucidate the experience of deep ecology through spoken word, poetry and song.

'Deep ecology is key to the change we need. To deep ecology, underlying all the symptoms of the environmental crisis lies a psychological or spiritual root – the illusion of separation from the rest of the natural world which stems from anthropocentrism or human-centeredness. This workshop enables us to find an end to the illusion of separation and experience our rootedness in the living Earth.' - John Seed
