The NT Government have made a big announcement in their efforts to reach a renewable energy target of 50% renewables by 2030.
They approved the procurement of a large scale battery for the Darwin-Katherine grid and released a Household and Business Battery Scheme that includes a $6,000 grant available to households and businesses and a new standard feed-in-tariff of 8.3 cents per kWh. (Our thoughts on the announcement here.)
In a special webinar hosted by The Environment Centre NT, join Dale Wakefield the NT Minister for Renewables, Energy and Essential Services, who will present this announcement and answer questions from the public.
We will also have short presentations from leading local NT solar industry figures, Alan Langworthy (Roadmap to Renewables) and Ilana Eldridge (NT Solar Futures).
We know many Territorians want to better understand how these changes will impact the NT energy grid as well as their own household and business investments into solar panels and batteries. Here is an opportunity to have your questions answered by the Minister and NT energy experts.
