There are four positions to be filled on the 8 person committee.
1. General Committee Member
An exciting opportunity to support Waste Free NT with planning, organisation and decision making. This would be a wonderful opportunity for someone who wants to shift waste management in the NT and can provide their unique skills and perspective to the broader committee.
Time Commitment - 1.5hr/month
2. Waste Management Policy Officer
A wonderful role for anyone interested in keeping up to date with the latest waste management policy. This role could include exciting opportunities to meet with government, businesses and decision makers.
Time Commitment - 5hr/month
3. Wash Against Waste Volunteer Coordinator
The Wash Against Waste Trailer is a fabulous resource that could be available to all markets and events in Darwin. There are many wonderful volunteers that are eager to generously give their time to ensuring that events in Darwin are producing less waste. The Volunteer Coordinator would be the key contact for both volunteers and events. They would assist with organising key logistics for markets or events.
For the right candidate support could be offered to seek grants to fund the position.
Time Commitment - 9hr/month
4. Dry Hire Coordinator
Waste Free NT are nearing completion of organising dry hire availability for the Wash Against Waste Trailer. This position will involve working with events/individuals interested in hiring the trailer, ensuring and monitoring maintenance and safe storage of the trailer and equipment.
Time Commitment - 9hr/month will vary depending on popularity.
This is a fun position for individuals or groups of friends to to get out into the community, at markets and events, to do your part to reduce waste in the NT.
The Wash Against Waste Trailer was last used at the Sea Breeze festival and will likely return to many of the beautiful markets Darwin has on offer.
