In Conversation with Bill Hare

Join us for our most exciting event of the year, The Climate Forum: In Conversation with Bill Hare and special guests. 

ECNT are thrilled to welcome our most esteemed guest, Bill Hare, to the Darwin community.

Bill Hare is a physicist, climate scientist and CEO of non-profit science and policy institute Climate Analytics. He has contributed to the development of the international climate regime since 1989. Bill was a Lead Author for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Fourth Assessment Report, led the influential World Bank Turn Down the Heat reports series in 2013-2014, and is one of the leaders of the Climate Action Tracker. He has been described as the “go to climate advisor” of the most vulnerable countries, particularly the small island states (SIDS) and the least developed countries (LDCs). In 2022, he was a member of the UN Secretary General´s high level expert group on non-state actors net zero commitments.

The evening

The evening will involve curated panel discussions with special guests who will discuss the reality of climate change impacts in the Northern Territory, and the mitigation measures we should be focusing on to limit global warming and avoid the worst impacts of climate change.
