Protecting the environment is an intergenerational responsibility. The actions we take today will impact on the future we will leave our children and grandchildren. It is important that we speak up for nature and that we support the organisations that work to ensure a clean (safe), healthy future for everyone.
A gift in your Will, no matter the amount, can make a real difference to the health of the Northern Territory.
Since 1983 the Environment Centre NT (ECNT) has been standing up for our water, land and communities.
ECNT is lobbying for a strong Climate Policy for the Territory, including a net zero emissions target by 2050 and a ban on shale gas fracking. Our vision is for a sustainable future for the Territory built on clean, low risk renewable technology.
ECNT advocates for protection of the uniqueTerritory landscapes and biodiversity. This includes through strong environmental legislation, including stronger laws for land clearing and mining rehabilitation.
ECNT works closely with local community groups Climate Action Darwin, Waste Free NT and COOLmob. We are helping to foster sustainable communities by supporting and empowering the community members to take action.
Your will can reflect what is important to you. Naturally you'll want to look after your loved ones first, however discuss your will with your family to ensure they understand that you also support a clean healthy environment and that charitable giving is part of your wishes.
It is important to review your will regularly to make sure it is still valid so that your wishes can be fulfilled. If you have already written your will, it can be reviewed and rewritten to include your charitable gift to the Environment Centre NT (ECNT). SUGGESTED WORDING FOR YOUR WILL
