If you are interested in engaging with politicians and expressing your opinions about the state of environmental management in the Northern Territory, become a part of Environment Centre NT's brand new Elected Members Engagement Group. The group meet on the last Thursday of each month to write letters, telephone and plan meetings with politicians. There will also be opportunities for training and networking with national organisations as and if requested.
This month we will be joined by Environment Centre NT’s Jason Fowler to hear about the Love Darwin Harbour and Stop Barossa Gas campaigns.
He will also be discussing 'key asks' to include in a submission about the Darwin Pipeline Duplication Project - https://ntepa.nt.gov.au/consultation/darwin-pipeline-duplication-project.
We will continue to organise meetings with MLAs and organise a letter box drop calling for the LNG's second pipeline into Darwin along with the entire LNG gas project to be referred to the NT EPA for assessment.
